HOOSIER MILLIONAIRE IS BACK

INDIANAPOLIS (Jan. 8, 2014) - It's back! Hoosier Millionaire is back! 2040 Hoosier Millionaire largeThe beloved Hoosier Millionaire Scratch-off game is back and on sale now statewide! The 25th Anniversary Edition offers two ways to win, instantly up to $75,000, and as a contestant on the live game shows happening around the state through August. Hometown favorites Tony Lamont and Mark Patrick will conduct events around the state to kick off the game, with stops in New Albany/Jeffersonville, Evansville, Indianapolis, Terre Haute, Fort Wayne and South Bend. Launch events are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 at Sav-A-Step on Veteran's Parkway in Jeffersonville; 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 at Thornton's on North Burkhart in Evansville, 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13 at Marsh on 96th Street in Fishers, 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13 at Kroger on State Road 41 in Terre Haute; 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Kroger on Coventry Lane in Fort Wayne, and 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Martin's on South Bend Avenue in South Bend. The popular Lamont and Patrick will return as hosts of the live show events which will be making stops in six cities around the state this spring. The locations of the six Hoosier Millionaire live game shows are: • Evansville, The Centre Theatre, March 27 • Fort Wayne, Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, April 17 • Terre Haute, Hulman Center, May 15 • New Albany, The Riverfront, June 19 • Elkhart, The Lerner Theater, July 24 • Indianapolis, Indiana State Fair, August 16 The televised Grand Finale event, the seventh show, will also take place August 16 in Indianapolis at the Indiana State Fair. For a chance to be selected as a contestant on the six live show events, players may enter their non-winning Hoosier Millionaire tickets at hoosierlottery.com/mylottery or at one of the six live show events. Each live show will feature six contestants: five will be selected through mylottery second chance drawings and one contestant will be selected from the audience! The winner from each of the six live shows will then be a contestant on the televised grand finale where he or she will compete for a chance to be the next Hoosier Millionaire! The Hoosier Millionaire Scratch-off was the very first Hoosier Lottery ticket. When the Hoosier Lottery launched almost 25 years ago, on October 13, 1989, more than 8 million Hoosier Millionaire tickets were sold in the Lottery's first 24 hours. Two weeks later, when the Hoosier Millionaire Show debuted on TV, a Hoosier tradition was born. Tuning into The Hoosier Millionaire Show quickly became a Saturday night ritual for millions of Hoosiers. The show was one of the nation's top-paying game shows on TV and was consistently at the top of its time slot for the duration of its run on the air from Nov. 1989 to Dec. 2005. Over the show's 16-year run, thousands of Hoosiers won big money on the show and 191 millionaires were created. The Hoosier Lottery plans to celebrate its 25th anniversary, and the return of Hoosier Millionaire game, with dozens of interactive Hoosier Millionaire events and promotions at retailers in all corners of the state throughout the spring and summer.
